Market Day, July 13

Today mom and I (Maggie) headed out to Avenue President Wilson for their famous outdoor market. On our way she treated me to the special french crêpe.

Filled with sugar and very happy, we continued on our way.

The Eiffel Tower is everywhere!

After wandering around for a bit, we finally found the market. So please, take up your bag and come shopping with us!

Would you like some shoes?

No? Then how about a scarf instead?

Or a hat and a purse to go with it....

You can buy a rug,

 some cooking utensils,

or jewelry.

They had antiques and furniture

and rows of lovely flowers.

Now onto the food, what we came here for. There were rows of random stands on either side of the avenue and people surrounding us everywhere. Don't let these pictures fool you, there was not just one produce stand or one meat stand, but at least 4 + of each.
These pictures are for all the foodies like mom.

Look at the rabbit!

Above is honey, and below are currants.

Goodbye market!

Closing at 2 pm, the vendors started packing up. So mom and I left for the apt. We stuffed everything in the fridge and set out again to my new favorite store.

E. Dehillerin, the baker's dream.

Almost every inch of the place was covered in baking supplies.
(Some of these pictures are blurry but i kept them to illustrate my point)

Tart rims

Strainers and ladles

Cake tins

Knives

A whole wall of copper and more tart rims hanging from the ceiling.

Mom gave me an early Christmas  present - a beautiful copper bowl....with a whisk, cake spatula, and a brownie pan. Theo, you might have another cookie cake coming your way!

 Tomorrow is Bastille Day.

à plus tard!
