Happy 4th

We celebrated the 4th of July with sail-planing!

It was chilly outside, so Mary and I soaked in the sun.

While dad waited to fly, mom decided to take a trip to a local Amish market. Mary and I tagged along.
On the way, Mary discovered how delightful it is to stick one's head out the window.

Welcome!

Take in the view of the corn...

Check out that fly tape.

The prized corn.

The home of the prized corn...

Stocked with tomatoes and peaches, we headed back to see dad.

We set up camp and read for the next couple hours.

Then mom got a tour of the hanger

with our loyal Bea.

Mom even sat in a sail-plane.
But no, she did not fly with dad!

We finished up with a cookout of baked chicken, corn, and potato salad
hosted by the owner of the airport, Sarah.

Happy 4th of July!
