An Afternoon of Shopping, July 15

Today we hung out at the best department store in Paris that we've been to so far.

Anyway,  Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville has 7 floors of awesomeness
and is not like any store we know of in the U.S.

You can order some shoes to be made after you exit the metro and enter the basement,

(click pictures to make larger)

Or select some wooden table legs

and wagon wheels.

Yes, I know we have wagon wheels in the U.S. but this French store is so much better.
Scroll down to understand....

On the 2nd floor we checked out the lights.

My favorite.......guess who's inside!?!?!

See the tail? Flip it up to see light and flip down to sit in darkness.

I love these lights.

Meme decided to get a bit creative....

Apparently Meme liked these enough to take some pictures, so I thought I'd include them.

On the 4th floor was art supplies - Meme's world.

They also had some figurines.

Aren't they cute?

 My world....

Yes, we, or I, like hello kitty.

Finally, we dragged ourselves to the exit.

Along the way to G. Detou, we took a gelato break.

Raspberry, framboise,
 chocolate, chocolat
strawberry, fraise

We also spotted this really interesting wall planter.

Introducing G. Detou, a baker's ingredient world.
58, rue Tiquetonne - 75 002 Paris -

They had chocolate sticks for croissants, eclair pastries, chocolate, caramel, dried fruits, sprinkles, fondant, caramel, vanilla extract, vanilla beans, food dye.....

Yes these pictures are blurry, but sadly they are the only pictures we have from this amazing store.

 à plus tard!
